As a computer scientist, he works on the development of new computational methods for the automatic extraction of plant root graphs representations, multi-organ and multi-instance tracking of plants in videos and converting this research into usable tools for automatic plant root phenotyping for the lab.

Born and raised in Argentina, very close to the Paraná river, you will never find Nico without his mate. Likes to present the biological insights of his work to computer scientist, and to talk about the image processing methods to the biologists.
